Canada (Amelia's Avengers) - In Honour and Celebration of Amelia Villegas

Amelia’s Avengers is the Nova Scotia, Canada chapter of The Cure Starts Now, formed in honour of Amelia Jane Villegas. Amelia was a bright, vibrant little girl who was diagnosed with DIPG at the age of 2. Amelia did not live a life defined by illness. She loved playing with her older brother Mateo, singing, dancing, playing in her toy kitchen, watching movies, and staying in hotels. Always the apple of her family’s eye, Amelia remained a sassy, spicy force to be reckoned with until she earned her angel wings in September 2022, at the age of 4.

In the wake of this unimaginable loss, Amelia’s family and loved ones find purpose in continuing the fight against pediatric brain tumours and finding a Homerun cure.
